| HP recaptures lead from Dell in 3Q notebook shipments Hewlett Packard (HP) recaptured the lead in the notebook market in the third quarter of 2006, exceeding rival Dell by just over 50,000 units, according to DisplaySearch. HP, which last held the top spot in the notebook PC market in the third quarter of 2005, grew at 36% sequentially in shipments in the third quarter of 2006, nearly twice the market growth of 19% during the quarter.
