| No Sound Maybe you guys can help me. I thought I would post it here. Anyway a friend recently gave me his old Gateway 7322GZ. It came with XP and I installed Vista. Now I have no sound. I have tried many different XP and Vista Conexant drivers to no avail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. |

AC97 and HD Audio sound both consist of two parts - the Connexant or Realtek bit and its drivers that link via a serial data stream to the mainboard chipset part of the audio system. You need drivers for both parts. -- Bill |
