how do i turn off acpi mode in bios

hi...im trying to istall window 7 on aspire 1700, i have latest bios
but when i install it says its not acpi compilent....i have read i can
turn off thr acpi mode in bios settings but i cant see it
anywhere....thanks for any help

Scroll down to the "The Role of the F5 Key and Shutdown Problems" part.
Even though it talks about Windows XP, it should also apply to Microsoft
Windows 7.
