There goes the neighborhood

This idiot "undisclosed" spammer totally ruined the news group.
Unfortunately the filter on my OE doesn't seem to work in blocking him
out.

What kind of filter won't let you block posts "From: undisclosed"?

I contacted my news service - who blocked him within about 20 mins. of
receiving my message. May I suggest that you contact yours and,
hopefully, stop him from getting his messages propagated around the world?

The fact that you post the same link every post makes it spam.

*** Check to be sure it's an exact match.

Also be sure you are blocking the name and not the subject, if OE can
differentiate.

OE cannot block the subject, only the sender shown in the "From"" field.
Right clicking on the "From:" name pops up a menu with an entry "Block
Sender." That's what I select. However, the issue seems to be moot as I
haven't seen any more spams from that idiot in the last few days.
Somebody most have complained to the server admin.

Oh, you mean my signature? It is quite common in the Net to use one.
And I change it very often.

Sure it does. I have not used it but subject is a criteria and you can
further define with specific words.
