Hello Everyone,I am new to this discussion group thing and I am totally
lost..I have a Dell Inspiron B120 laptop and the hard drive died on it
which I did replace.But when I installed it,it turns on but won't go
online at all.What am I doing wrong?..Can anyone help?

Everytime I try to log online I get blank pages that say it can't go
online..Like um.."Page cannot be displayed" pages.

"To go online" is a rather complex affair, which is handled by special programs,
and NOT by the operating system.

You will have to tell us more about the computer. Who installed it? Did you ever
install something yourself?

I installed the hard drive myself..with VERY little help from the dell
people cause they said I'd need to pay $50 for phone help and I wasn't
gonna pay $50 just to answer a few questions even if I did have it..lol

I do not have a Windows XP installation CD so I am trying to figure out
what else can be done to get it working again.

Oh I see, you called Dell and they wanted $50 to help you. You got a new
drive and got Windows on this new drive. Now you can't get online,
right?

Well what does the Device Manager say? Does it show there are problems
with your Ethernet or Wireless drivers? If so, you need to go to Dell's
website and grab them. Then go from there.

Without the (usually) second CD you will not get far. CD1 has the OS and CD2 has
add-ons and drivers. These drivers you need to get the interfaces to work. The
OS CD alone CANNOT do that.
