| Strange Vista update being pushed by MS I have an HP tx1000 series tablet notebook with built-in Webcam and I wonder why MS is pushing this new "recommended" Vista update, called: Sonix - Streaming Media and Broadcast - YooStar Camera I just recently managed to undo the damage by a similar update that made my WebCam and fingerprint reader inoperative. In fact, probably my built-in Bluetooth also stopped working by a recent Vista update. Anybody knows what this "YooStar" update is all about? |

The idea is hardware product that costs very little to manufacture and software is moving toward the cloud computing model - all software and mass storage will be online. When a company doesn't have to burn DVDs and distribute that product to vendors, resellers and dealers, they save a lot of money. You'll have to have an account to access your software and storage. An just take a close look at Google - their ability to track users and keep histories is alarming - if you care anything about privacy, that is. I'm not talking about wanting to hide illegal or immoral activity, just talking about everyday users who go anywhere - especially gov sites or online banking. Hardware is moving to small netbook-like and hand-held models. Low-cost since most people are using computers for basic tasks like email, word processing, surfing net, etc. Internal modems have disappeared from many laptops and smaller boxes because many connect to dedicated networks or use a USB modem for dialup. |

Hi, I'm not sure what it is, but it doesn't look good. See: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/...9-692df2810817 Jim |
