alright, so the sound on my acer aspire 5570-2094 is not working atall, yes i have checked and it is NOT muted, the sound is up and everything. okay so im not very tech-savvy, so you'll have to explain a little, lol. but its been a couple weeks i've went without sound, and i'm not very happy, lol. even when i plug in headphones, nothing works. also, nothing will play in my itunes or windows media player. on itunes it shows the song like its playing, but the song stays on 00:00. any help? thanks to everyone in advance

Hi GymMich! Well any idea when it quit? After an upgrade or an install?
If you are running Windows, what does the Device Manager say? Does it
show everything is okay?

The song staying at zero, sounds like a different problem. That sounds
like a corrupt file or damaged codecs. The free "K-Lite Mega Codec Pack"
is very good in this area if this is one of the problems.

the device manager shows everything is working fine, and that there's no updates needed and thanks for the help on the itunes problem! :)
oh and its been a couple weeks i've been having the sound problem

I thought the days of computers having these kinds of problems were past
with Windows 98 - but, actually, XP Pro is the most stable consumer
version of Windows, ever.

Vista is still a problem for some, many have let it pass altogether as
is the case with Leopard OS X. Problem is that people that want to run
Snow Leopard will have to buy Leopard first. It's like an upgrade -
just like Windows 7 is an upgrade to Vista. See a pattern here? Big
corporations making a lot of money selling bogus, buggy software and
ever lower-quality hardware.
It used to be a big joke during WW2 era - Made in Japan - meant low-q
junk. That day passed and Made in Japan led the world in productivity
and quality for a time. Now, made in China and the far east, excluding
Japan, is back to low-q again.
