Hi:
I have a Gateway Solo 9100 that I put together from parts purchased on
Ebay. Everything works except the clock won't keep time. In the parts
listings they have a 7.2 Volt NiMH Battery CMOS Battery pack. I'm sure
that my laptap doesn't have one of these installed. I have had it
completley disassembled. The problem is I have no idea where the CMOS
Battery pack plugs in. I have look everywhere on the Internet and can't
find a repair manual or schematic. If someone could please help me out
and tell me how to install the CMOS Battery pack?

Hi Chuck! Wow that is the same voltage as most NiMH 9v batteries. How
convenient is that? I can't help you with where it should plug into. But
an easy way to set the clock if the computer boots to being online is:
