TV Tuner

Has anyone found a way to connect a Toshiba laptop to a nearby VCR. My
objective is to convert old family VHS tapes to DVD. My laptop has an
ExpressCard slot and USB.

I've tried HP's ExpressCard Analog TV Tuner card, but it is HP specific.
Absolutely will not work on any other laptop.

Well I have done it through an USB tuner and through a DVD recorder. And I
believe the latter is better. The computer is the better (and the only way)
to convert it to other formats. Also better if you want to clone DVDs. DVD
recorders can be bought for 100 bucks at the store or 50 bucks on eBay.

Looks like this is a route I will go. I found a decent USB TV Tuner on
Craigslist, now on its way to me. Stay tuned....
