| Lenovo T60 making "ding dong" sound I have a Lenovo T60. A few days ago it started making a "ding dong" sound when I move it and occasionally at other times. I have checked all the cables and they seem to be plugged in correctly. I have turned off ALL the Windows sounds and it still does it. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how I can stop it? Thank you in advance for all replies. -- Whenever I hear or think of the song "Great green gobs of greasy grimey gopher guts" I imagine my cat saying; "That sounds REALLY, REALLY good. I'll have some of that!" |

I didn't bring a Thinkpad to the office today, oddly for me, and thus can't check, but:: Is it possibly an option on the active hard disk protection to have an audible alert? Perhaps the configurable sensitivity for drive protection got set to an unrealistic value. Art |

I discovered that when I move the cable from the AC adaptor slightly, the computer makes the "ding dong" sound and the little plug shaped LED goes on and off. I suppose that means I have to replace the whole AC adaptor. -- I don't understand why they make gourmet cat foods. I have known many cats in my life and none of them were gourmets. They were all gourmands! |

( reminds me of Jethro Clampett - "whenever I hear that noise there's someone at the front door". ) |
