Download the manual in pdf format from http://fileshare.eshop.bg/downloadsm...0version).html You are in luck: Sony normally provides only an exploded view of the notebook, sometimes with the screws that need to be removed in bold or in color. This one has a flow diagram that show only the keyboard and palmrest need be removed to get at the HD. The keyboard and palrest instructions are numbered sequentially in their respective drawings. If you have to release the keyboard cable, be sure to unlock the wedge on the cable clamp at the mainboard - do NOT PULL THE CABLE OUT unless the wedge is removed first! The palmrest cable (touchpad) is likely a ribbon cable that does pull out using the blue tab. Replace that cable by grasping both the blue tab and the cable. (Blue is usual for Sony ribbon cable tabs, yours might be different) Good luck with this. Post *any* questions before going at the HD replacement with hammer and tongs late at night. Q |
