Does anyone know where I can get hold of an invertor for a Dell laptop in
the UK. Can't seem to find anyone so far

Do you mean the inverter for the screen? In which case, Dell is still
your best bet.

We will need to know the exact model of your laptop to actually source
one.

It may be easier to just replace the whole screen assembly.
