Hi, my Sony Vaio laptop gave an error message during boot up, and I cannot
start Windows at all. I need the system recovery CD/DVD to re-install the
original setup from the hidden partition in the hard drive.

Can anyone who owns a Sony Vaio VGN-BX series make me a set of Recovery
CD/DVD? Much appreciate for your effort, will pay expense plus a drink.

Thanks for the link, but I'm in the UK. I email e-support 3 days ago, still
waiting for their reply. May need to call them eventually on the 0870
numbers.

The hidden recovery partition allows you to recover the system without any
other media (e.g. a CD or DVD).

If your original HD is now toast and you don't have a backup, you're SOL.

Sony support's email response is verrrrrry slow. Keep sending the
original message every other day.

Try http://www.sonyrecovery.com/ . I know of quite a few people who have
ordered recovery media from that site and received working recovery media.
