I am a little surprised you are trying to install Windows 2003 server
and do not know how to create a partition, if this OS does not give you
this option (which I would not know, not using this version).

Assuming you want to keep the XP installation, I think a good solution
would be using System Commander which will allow to do what you want
plus allow you to dual boot.

This is only one option, another is to use a partition utility. For such
a need, Paragon free version, should suffice, otherwise, consider Disk
Director.

Regards

I would suggest you buy Partition Magic V9 or what ever their latest
version is. It can create either Parimary partitions, or Logical
extension partitions. You would need Primary type in order to isolate
the 2 operating systems.
