I am the technology curriculum coordinator for a school north of Chicago. We have just given our faculty and staff Fujitsu 4210 tablet computers. We tested Acer tablets for the past two years (not pleased) before giving them to all of our instructional staff (and administration). We purchased all of our computers from CDW this summer. We wanted a bay that we could change out an additional battery or CD/DVD drive. We also liked the processor. We fell into this model due to when we actually purchased the tablets. Overall we love them. We are having some issues with the eraser on the pens but we are happy overall.

I am interested in forming some type of tablet user group in the Chicago area where teachers can meet with one another to observe the use of tablets in the classroom.

I am working on a virtual professional development community. The software and domain are online but I am still learning about the features. The software is similar to MySpace and so you are more than welcome to use the site to form a group for teachers in your area.
