Hi all, i'm new. w00t. Hi to LPH who may have spotted me hanging around
www.umpcbuzz.com :)
I had two PC's, a Dell X1 laptop (12.1" WS, 1.1GHz ULV, 1.1Kg weight) and a Shuttle PC AMD64 3500+ based PC with a Geforce 6800. I recently sold both because I was interested primarily in UMPC's as my main device however they were to far away, to expensive/underpowered for my liking.
After careful consideration, I decided on a tablet PC (Because primarily I dont want to have to work at a desk anymore - my student days are almost over! However I found the choices rather daunting. I was primarily looking at Slate devices however being from the UK, the Motion LS800 was rather to expensive for what I wanted it for, and was difficult to get hold of in the UK inexpensively. I did at some point change my requirements where I wanted something lightweight but powerful, and therefore settled on the Acer C204TMi model (2GHz P-M, 1GB DDRII, Geforce 6200).
I have to say, after reading posts in this forum there are certainly valid complaints about lack of reviews for this model. However after consideration of power per £, this model came up top for me.
The PC is on it's way to me as I type, so will be posting a review of my thoughts on the device when it's in my wanting arms!
