Post Acer TravelMate C300

First, I'd just like to say hi, and have been reading your forum now for about 6 or so months since I decided I was going to buy a tablet PC.

I purchased an ACER Travelmate C300 with all the bells and whistles.

The configuration:

Microsoft® Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition (SP2); Intel® Pentium® M Processor 735 (1.70GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 400MHz FSB); 1GB (512/512) DDR333 SDRAM; 80GB hard drive; modular DVD-Dual drive (DVD+/-RW); 4-in-1 card reader; 14.1" XGA (1024 x 768) TFT display; Intel® Extreme Graphics 2; 802.11b/g WLAN, Bluetooth™, gigabit LAN, V.92 modem.

Purchased at Grey Tech Computer Inc, Markham, ON, Canada

Purchased on Feb 25, 2005

I choose this particular model because it seemed rugged enough to handle my day to day job (project manager for a welding automation company) and the other tablets that I compared against seemed too "rinky dink". lol

I love the text recognition feature and the ability to take hand written notes anywhere at anytime in most documents. I had to create some new forms in the company to facilitate my system, but no ones the wiser.

My experience level would be considered "dangerous" by most IT professionals in that I know enough to suit my requirements, but IT guys cringe when I come around as I ask for stuff that they don't normally like to do for others. I guess I would be considered a power user as I spend almost a full 8 hrs a day on the computer, not counting at home.

I have noticed though that my efficiency at work has improved by at least 15%

I also purchase Microsoft Office 2003 for the tablet as it is the earliest version which will allow "ink", and Micorsoft One Note is a real pain when it comes to printing ink from the software - any help with speeding this up would be a appreciated.

Thanks for your time, have a great day.

Any and all questions regarding this Tablet, I'd be more than happy to answer. :)
