Hi there.

By way of introduction, i use my Tablet (Compaq TC1000, yes, had it a hile now!) at work using specifically designed software for Roads network inspection, using a map based system.

I find the Tablet system perfect for this, as the speed and ease of the handwriting recognition as one of the huge advantages over using either a real or on screen keyboard,and was wondering if many other users are doing similar work?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

To see if it was faster, I spent time only using the pen as an input. Passwords on websites were the biggest pain and I ended up using the TIP keyboard.

I also decided that the buttons along the side can speed up use of the Tablet PC too. While reading a website, I was using the pen to scroll but now I just use the button on the side.
