Hello...I just joined the site after I stumbled onto it while researching Tablet PCs...Right now I do not have a Tablet but I am looking at either the Tatung TTAB-B12D, the Electrovaya SC-2000, or the Motion Computing M1400. If anyone has any insight on or advice about any of these please let me know. Thanks for such a great site...

Hi Joe,

I spent almost 40 days with the Tatung model and hated giving it back to them. I wrote a review posted on whatisnew.com and highly recommend it for the speed and features. The Electrovaya is the Tatung, with battery options to help extend the use off AC.

I was never able to convince Motion to send me a unit to review :bawling: but Linda from TabletPC2.com has used it extensively and recommends it for people moving constantly in and outside... something I don't get to do as a teacher.

I would recommend that you go for the 1.3 GHz and as much RAM as possible.

I got my Motion M1300 last April and am very happy with it for indoor/outdoor use. The View Anywhere display works great. I do a lot of web searching and with the tablet and wireless I can just sit down somewhere comfortable and search away.

I am having some problems getting SP2 to work, but otherwise its been great.

Also, get the WriteShleld secreen protectors. It is amazing how much scratching can happen to a tablet display. These also improve the "feel" of the screen for writing.
