| Hiya! Glad I found this board. :w00t: So, here is the deal. I am looking to combine my PDA (Dell Axim x3i) with my laptop (Dell i8500) (no, no Dell fetish here, just lucky on a good deal at the time). I am looking for something I can use at work and for school (time to head back after 10 years and finish that degree). So, a tablet PC should do the trick Before I found this place, my mind was on the Motion Computing m1400, but now I am looking at the Toshiba M200/205.... or should I wait even longer??? What had interested me in both the Motion Computer m1400 and the Toshiba M200/205 was that I can upgrade the hardware (more power!). I know one is a slate and other a convertible, but since the m1400 does offer a hard top with a keyboard, that may not be a bad choice. On the other hand, I keep seeing good reviews for the Toshiba m200/205 ... it was even recommended by a co-worker who let me see their tablet pc. Any suggestions or should I just use my lucky 50 cent piece? :arabia: |

| Time to toss the coin Both will be excellent choices. My first tablet pc was a slate; but I kept it docked while I learned how to use the pen more effectively. I prefer to keep this Acer in slate or tablet mode. Therefore, I lean toward less weight and a slate. Having said that... the Toshiba has the better resolution. The Motion outdoor use is better. Good luck and please let us know.

| Well, the impatient techie geek in me broke down and bought the Toshiba m205 saturday evening. :w00t: It was watching the demo of the Franklin Planner for Tablet PC that pushed me over the edge. Now I have a machine telling me how bad my handwriting is :bawling: Maybe Service Pack 2 will be more forgiving, which I am in the process of installing now. |

| Service Pack 2 Service Pack 2 is the ONLY way to go. Download it today and get started. You can thank yourself later. I've been using it on and off since the alpha and can state clearly that it is fantastic. The TIP is far better. The improved security is also important.
