 calculus, pc and dyslexia Greetings. I'm "new" to this type of communication, but I was hoping someone out there could help me. My son has dyslexia/dysgraphia and, per the neurologists advice, has used a laptop computer since 4th grade. He is now a freshman in college (pre-med!) and is in advanced calculus. While he understands the concepts, he tends to reverse his numbers or leave out portions of an equation. The neurologist has suggested that he use a computer and write the numerical equations on a tablet PC and then have it transferred to text in a laptop. He doesn't need a program to do the math -- he can do that. He just needs to "see" the numerical equations and formulas typed in the computer. Then he will be able to see if he reversed letters or numerals. He's on a college budget (or, should I say, Mom's on a college budget!) so we're looking for something economical that will help him. Any help out there from the PC community? We have no idea what to purchase (his laptop in elementary school was an apple and his college computer is a Dell.) Many thanks Karen      |
