Advice on laptop case, speakers , etc?

Just bought a dell 640m

I am full time college student

Any advice on good padded sleeve or case to buy to
protect it? I'm "thinking" I want the sleeve separate
form the case so I can carry laptop in backpack,
whatever. IOW.... I don't want a padded sleeve BUILT
IN a backpack. maybe I'm wrong on this thinking?

Also.... any advice on some low cost but good portable
speakers for this laptop?

Re: Advice on laptop case, speakers , etc?

Take another look at backpacks. Current models have a padded compartment
for the laptop, a special pocket with cord hole for an audio player,
room for a day's load of books and enough additional pockets to carry a
small water bottle and a snack.

Carrying your daily load evenly balanced in a backpack is better for you
than carrying it on one shoulder.

Agree

But there will be times I just want to grab the laptop
and take it alone.....wont want to grab the entire
backpack

That's why I'm thinking a separate sleeve
