It's new enough, you ought to be able to order one from fujitsu.

One thing. If you give it enough time to dry, it may wake up. A week,
perhaps, depending on temperature and humidity.

Unfortunately this is not an option, since they want (at least here) more
for the mobo, than for a new laptop.

Hmmm.

That makes getting repairs hard.

Looks like it's time to get a new notebook.

PS: how did you confirm the motherboard is the component that needs
replacing?

It might be something cheaper, like the processor.

Memory, CPU, etc. have been tested on another laptop and they are good.

Fault is in the mobo, since few legs on two chips have corroded away :-(

Probably have to sit on this one, until I can find a reasonable repalcement
mobo for this unit.

Shame, it's only 2-3mo. old.

Well if it did not get wet, and was not used in humid or contaminated
environments then it's a manufacturing defect for not washing the board
properly after assembly. Try for warranty replacement.

Well, this has real liquid damage. It's called coffee+milk+sugar ;-)

It has "spill proof" keyboard, but only to a point.

I don't normally suggest this, but given the extremely high replacement
cost of the board, have you looked in to the possibility of getting the
motherboard repaired?
