Hi

I am looking for a laptop. 15.4" lcd, 1 gb ram, dou core, but the
biggest thing I want is to have at least 3 hours of battery life. Oh
and keep the price under $900

any recomendations?

I recently got an HP DV56000US for about $700 after those wretched rebates.
It seems to fulfill all of your needs except the battery life, and I have a
feeling you won't be able to find what you want.

A year or so ago we got a Compaq M2000 for about $500, after rebates, and
it's also a good machine. But the battery life is 2 hours.

i have a HP 6000, and i'm happy

not sure about your battery needs[with the standard battery]
i read that sometimes they don't perform as claimed
(any websites that rate battery life?)

worst case, get the larger-upgrade battery?
they are fatter/heavier though [i think]
