Removing Cases - Aspire Acer 1203XC

Hello,

Aspire Acer 1203XC

I have some 256mb memory to put in the laptop. I cannot find out how to
remove the casings. I have removed all the screws I can see and the back
will still not come off. It *seems* to be held together somewhere in the
centre part of the back case. I am lost. can someone help.

Regards,
John

Two minutes of poking around the Acer website found the manual for your
series.

ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/note...e1200ug-en.pdf

Page 47 is what you want.

Val,

MANY thanks for your help.
I had attempted to take the thing apart MUCH more than was required.
512mb of additional RAM now installed and running SO much faster than it was
in its 128mb standard state.

Regards.

Oh, yeah, XP will be much more responsive with 640MB than at 128. I find
it really sluggish with even 256 on any low to mid level machine - 512 is
always the desired minimum RAM as far as I'm concerned.
