bluetooth and external hard drive

i have an ibook, which has bluetooth, and an external hard drive. I
like everything wireless, so could i put a bluetooth adapter on my
external HD and view files on it using my ibook, or anything else that
support bluetooth?

In theory, it seems to work, like cell phone to laptop, i dont
understand why it wouldn't work from hard drive to laptop.

Then you have a complete failure to understand the "theory".

The hard drive has no host software on board. A Bluetooth dongle would not
know what the device is.

Maybe the lack of understanding was the reason he asked the question.

Your abuse was wholly unwarranted.

Do a search for NAS (linksys and others do one), you can get them wired to
attach to a router, or wireless. Bluetooth doesn't have the bandwidth that
you need.

If you require wireless hard-drives, then I'd suggest you get a Netgear
Storage Central SC101. They're not overly expensive on Ebay.
