My Dell inspiron 9100's display does not work after booting sometimes.
Whenever that happens it displays bright grey color matrix, sometimes
distorted windows starting image and it just freezes there onwards.
Harddisk light goes steady I guess. So I have to hardboot couple of
times until I get normal windows logon message.
Is this a video card problem or LCD ?

I'd try the video card weve seen these run fine on ext. monitor and
distort display.. Good luck!
