| icons move on desktop! I am using xp home edition, I am the administrator, when my friend logs into her username, then I log back into my username, the last 3 columns of my icons move from the right of my desktop, to the left. All other icons stay put. I am only using "align to grid". This is crazy! How can this be stopped? I have them arrange in groups so I do like having some on the far right. Thanks for any ideas! Have you tried shifting your grouping of icons 3 columns to the left? Tom J |

| Re: icons move on desktop! Sounds like the two user accounts have different screen esolutions... make them both the same (the LCD's native res). Otherwise use Icon Restore http://www.download.com/Icon-Restore...-10163500.html This useful little app' saves/restores your desktop layout via right click context menu... Isn't the whole idea of multiple users to save ALLLLLLL the preferences so you return to your account EXACTLY where you left it? Another user's screen resolution should have ZERO effect on my account. That's why I have 160MB of CRAP in Documents and Settings????? |

| Re: icons move on desktop! The other user has the exact same settings, I agree it should not matter anyway, but it happens! oh well! ~me > > > > > This is nutz. > Isn't the whole idea of multiple users to save ALLLLLLL the preferences so > you return to your account EXACTLY where you left it?
