How del folder which has files in it Winxp/pro

How can I delete a folder thats contains files in it. Right cliik
and DEL wont work. It just says unable del folder because it
contains data in it. Then I tried to look up "how to read files
inside a folder" so I could del them individually, but again
unable to see the files. Then I tried to just clik on the folder
and DEL itfrom the dripdown menu. Again It refuses says unable
del folder because its not empty. Where do I go from here???

Are you, by chance, trying to delete a folder that contains important
(e.g., system) files?

What's the name of the folder?

You are doing something wrong. You should be able to delete a folder
with files in it (the files will be deleted also, of course), unless one
of the files is currently open. And if that is the case, the error
message will tell you that.

NO its just junk and I tried clik on it then from drop down menu
an DELETE. It refused and said folder not empty. Then I tried
right double clik on it and again DELETE. It gave same answer
cannot delete as folder is not empty. So I tried listing the
folder and it said "nothing in folder". WINXP/PRO.
Weird is all I can say.

No the folder shows to be empty, but I finally got rid of it
somehow.
