Acer Travelmate restore using restore CD from different type

Hi,

I have an old Acer Travelmate 270 that I'd like to restore to its
factory settings. However, the restore CD is missing. I do have
restore CD from different types of Travelmate (2500 and 420). Would it
be possible to restore my 270 using restore CDs from one of the other
types? I tried it using the 420, but had problems with booting due to
different types of drivers. Has anyone successfully done this?

Regards,
Gerd

No way to say for sure. It may or may not be possible.

Re: Acer Travelmate restore using restore CD from different type

The restore procedure using CD from other system actually finished, but
when Windows could not start. When running in safe mode, it's stopping
at agpXXX.sys under Windows drivers directory. I think there's a
problem loading the driver from the other machine. Any ideas or
workaround?

Gerd
