Howto? PC Card Flash, Win98SE, Presario 1692

I have a Presario 1692 with Win98SE I want to use flash
PC Card with. Got it to work with genedisk drivers on
USB reader, but would be lots more convenient if I
could just use the card slot in the side. Anyone
know the combination? TIA.

All my PCMCIA memory cards and memory card readers just
plug in and are recognized as hard drives.
Try reformatting the card in a compatible format.

Okay I'll bite. How would I "reformat" something that the
OS doesn't recognize in the first place? And since my USB
reader has no problem with it, doesn't seem reasonable to
think the problem is with the card. Other PC's with win2K
and XP also have no problem with it.
