I formatted my hard disk, and I lost the snyinst.ini file that is
needed to use the application recovery disks...

That file is proprietory to each model, so I need to find somebody with
the same model in order to get a copy ofthat file which can eork on
mine

Shouldn't this be easily available from Sony?

I do not know actually, but I thought it much quicker to ask you

This makes no sense at all; the Sony recovery disks can easily be used
to restore on a formatted hd. Are you *booting* with the first recovery
disk in the optical drive? If so, what error are you getting?
