| Acer Aspire boot up problem When I try to boot up my aspire 1315, all that happens is the power on LED lights. Nothing appears on the display. If I press the power on button for a few secs the machine powers off again. A couple of times if I try to boot the machine up, it has asked if I wish to boot up in safe mode, as some files are missing or corrupt. If I choose to boot in safe mode, it then hangs up & I have to remove power to switch it off. Control,Alt,Delete has no effect. Does this look like a hard disk problem ?. Or could it be something else ?. TIA, woodglass... |

You could try a new one, but unless you bought from a place with a good return policy, I wouldn't. Sounds like a system board issue to me. |

Well, if it asks you to go in safe mode, then something is on the screen, no ? I would try going into BIOS and resetting to defaults for starters. |
