| battery fits but not compatible? I've recently purchased a acer 2490 laptop and so I have recently bought an extra battery model batcl50l (not acer). The problem is that my computer says warning: this is not an acer battery! It's refuses to charge! What to do? please help. Leek |

Sometimes with a new third party batterythere isnt enough charge for the battery to register with the laptop for first use, or the cells havent been balanced properly (this can happen with the very very cheap chinese replacemensts). Third party laptop batteries are fine but you need to get from a good source, Try Batterytrader, here is a link for the battery you want - Acer laptop battery have a look they might do extended version batteries as well |
