| Re: D820 S-Video Getting TV out working is extremely difficult on most laptops. It involved the BIOS and Windows both, and usually a utility from the maker of the video chip. It often takes me several hours of fooling around to get it working. Also, on most laptops, if the TV isn't connected when the computer is turned on, the port is disabled and will not work until you subsequently turn the computer off and back on with the TV connected. Oh it isn't that hard. Usually not much harder than getting an external monitor to fire up. -- Bill |

I have also come across laptops that no amount of persuading will get the video output to work, and it's only after several hours with technical support, that you discover that some utility or other is missing from the laptop's build. |
