has anyone heard of any black friday (day after thanksgiving) deals on
laptops? What is a good laptop these days, as far as speed? What is
the price usually for such a good laptop? Last year, Wal-mart had HP
laptops for $399.00 (i think that was the price) and my sis and niece
both bought one. They seem to be good laptops, but maybe the speed
isn't that great, like 1.5ghz. Is that a pretty good speed for a
laptop?

How about this question. What is a GOOD laptop, and what is a GREAT
laptop, as far as speed goes? please let me know. thanx

All of the major black Friday ads are available from two major sites.
Circuit City will have a $299 laptop, several other retailers will have
a $399 laptops These are all low-end laptops. In truth, if you CARE
about your laptop, they are not the best deals. While they will cost
more ($600 to $900), there are and will be much better values available
on high-end laptops.
