Replace Dell 8600 LCD

I have a Dell 8600 with an 15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050). Is it possible to
replace it with an WUXGA model or are there other part that would
prevent me from doing so. If that does not work what do I have to look
for to get a compatible LCD?

Thanks

It's just about impossible to answer that question without information
that we mere mortals [who don't work for Dell or Dell authorized service
centers] don't have.

Call Dell spare parts, give them your service tag, and see how much the
panel would be, if it can be sold then check around on ebay to see how much
you can get one for.

Re: Replace Dell 8600 LCD

If your model supports a WUXGA resolution screen then yes you can just swap
it out without other componants
