| Chicony MP 978 I have a 7-8 year old laptop, no brand names anywhere. From researching the plastic tag on the bottom of the case it appears to be either a Chicony MP978 or a Rodeo MP978A. One of the two fans is beginning to squeal. Would someone please point me to a site that would sell parts for an old, unknown laptop. Thanks, Steve      |

| Re: Chicony MP 978 Fans are generally a commodity item - a good computer shop or electronics shop ought to be able to provide a replacement. Wiring it in may be fun, depending on the connector (if any.) Put in a drop or two of gun oil. put sticker back on. mike |
