A friend and I jumped on the November 5 $398 Compaq Presario V5305WM
deal last weekend. Since then we've installed around 6 games and so far
only ran into minor issues. However, one problem we're both really
irritated with is Counter Strike 1.6; on both of our machines we're
utilizing different mice, he has a MS Optical and I have a Logitech MX
500. The funny part is, on both of our machines there is an annoying
'lag' attributed with CS. Nothing to do with lag or anything of the
network sort; nothing to do with processing power as we run WoW and
UT2004 at a decent framerate. No, this issue is laptop-specific and we
both lack the knowledge to correct the problem. FYI, here are the
machine specs:

any idea why this is happening?
