Help Please Satelite a35-s209

My wife has a Satellite a35-s209 which just stop working, I checked the
cooling and all is clear, computer will not boot up, fan speeds upon start
then slows down. I am sort of stuck on this one and can honestly use all
the help I can get.

Based on the very tiny amount of info provided, it is impossible to
diagnose. Could be a CPU problem, a RAM problem, a motherboard problem or a
power supply problem. Not way to tell unless you have beep codes or
additional on screen errors to help. Otherwise, the only way to tell is to
have it serviced...

FWIW, Toshiba (and Sony) are overpriced and their quality has gone down
*significantly* in the last 3 years. Might be more worthwhile to look at a
new non-Toshiba computer.

Re: Help Please Satelite a35-s209

Thank you for the input, I went back and pulled memory to see if any
problems with it, then went back to the cpu and opened and closed the socket
a few times and bingo the computer booted up, still cant figure it out, it
may be a bad solder connection (cold solder joint) what ever the case I
would just hate to pull the mb.
You are certainly right about Toshiba, this is the second one that we went
through the last one was in use for approximately 3 months and in the
service dept. for 8 months, there is a class action law suite against
Toshiba, they claim that the computers had a grounding problem, yup and of
all the people to get stuck with it heh! ME!!!
