No, it's not considered appropriate to do so. This is a forum for
assistance, not for selling. The problem is that if selling was
considered "acceptable", there could be hundreds or thousands of "for
sale" posts, making this a useless forum for it's primary purpose ...
getting assistance.

Use E-Bay for selling.

There are newsgroups which only selling is the only thing that is
acceptable. Look for newsgroups with forsale in them. Like
"comp.sys.forsale" for example.
