I just got a new Dell M90 and am frustrated with the touchpad - going
online seems to suggest a lot of people are frustrated with touch pads
:) I've got all the tabs on the mouse control pannel applet, but there
is not way to control the tap-to-click sensitivity, is there? Am I
missing something? You can turn the tap-to-click on and off, but not
change the sensitivity. I find I'm always clicking accidentally when
just trying to move the cursor across the screen. I'm about to disable
the tap-to-click, but thought I'd ask if anyone had a solution (i.e., a
way to control the sensitivity).

I also tried to download a newer driver from Synaptic, but all the tabs
in the control panel mouse applet disappeared. I reverted back to the
previous driver and everything was normal. Any thoughts on this?

My solution was just to disable the **** thing. Some people like it and
I do too, if it didn't accidently click on things. :)

The main problem is that it just takes a hell of a lot of getting used to.
It is capacitive activated so it is only necessary to touch it and move your
finger with the slightest of pressure, and it works fine. Having said that,
I still prefer a real rodent.

You enjoy moving your hands to and from? I like keeping my hands in one
place, right over the keyboard. And having everything right there. The
only thing I want to reach for is my coffee cup. lol

If you go to the properties for the touchpad, there are dozens of
settings you can chage -- one of them is sensitivity.
