"back" from touchpad not working with IE7

My VAIO has an ALPS touchpad. If I move my finger leftwards along the
top of the touchpad in IE6, then I go back to the previous page. This
has stopped working in IE7. It never worked at all in Firefox, and
apparently this was because the ALPS touchpad driver looks to see what
class of window the mouse is over before sending a "previous page"
message to that window, and doesn't recognise a Firefox window as having
the right class. So my guess is that it doesn't recognise an IE7 window
either. Has anyone else seen this problem, or know whether ALPS have
issued an updated driver?

Thanks,

Simon Morris
