| toshiba dynabook(portege 1601 series) I recently bought a dynabook model number pp160N-000500 sx/210lnlw.which was workng and loaded with xp.For some strange reason I decided to format the hard drive and start from scratch. It has never worked since!I have tried to loading from both the pcmcia slot and the usb port with no success .It starts off ok with win setup being displayed then loading files then set up is starting windows. It then bombs out with the message problem has been detected and windows as been shut down check HD controller stop 0x0000007b 0xf9d04524 0xc000034 0x00000000 0x00000000.I have tried win98 with no success I even took the HD out and replaced it with another preloaded with xp setup but it still ends up with the same error code.It would appear that it can drag data from the HD but will not write to it ..Have also downloaded the latest version of the bios Does the HD need a particular driver ?if so how can I obtain one? Any ideas? |

Any ideas? Are you using a copy of Windows from another computer or using a restore / recovery disc from another computer? If so, that is your problem. -- Bill |
