| IBM T21 MB is locking after replacing bottom base I Replaced the bottom base cover on my IBM ThinkPad T21 unit. After putting it all back together, I turn it on and it comes up with a small image of a computer with a lock next to it. Does anybody know how to fix this, and what caused this to happen? |

Possible cause is that you removed the CMOS battery during disassembly, hence the previously set Supervisor Password was initiated. If you don't know the PW, your unit is now principally a doorstop. -- James Visit the Thinkpad Forums http://forum.thinkpads.com |
