Software that stops Windows from charging a battery?

Is there any software program or option that will prevent Windows from
charging my battery until it is at low battery? Sometimes, I use the
battery till about 80%, and then I'm back at home again, where I'd like
to use AC power only without having to physically remove the battery
before hand, because I don't want to charge the battery till it is low
power..

Why would you want to wait till the low battery level? It doesn't harm
the battery to charge it.

Yes it does. Every time you charge a Li-Ion battery it takes part of the
total lifetime recharges away.
