| Opposite of privacy filter for screen? Are there any devices that make laptops EASIER to see from angles and distances? We've got some wireless laptops that students check out for small-group study, and the viewing angles are not good. We can't have any permanent 2nd monitors because these laptops get used in a variety of locations. Thanks! |

Never seen one (and I was a product manager for LCD displays at one time, so I'm aware of most things that are possible). stooftheoof wrote: > Are there any devices that make laptops EASIER to see from angles and > distances? > > We've got some wireless laptops that students check out for small-group > study, and the viewing angles are not good. Modern laptop screens work by using two polarized sheets of glass 90 degrees out of phase with each other. Using this design, the only way to made it better at angles is to use a lens in front of the screen to diffuse the light. -- Bill |
