| HP XE2 suddenly won't boot My old faithful XE2 decided to stop booting today. It's been acting funny the last couple days, kinda slow and lost the internal modem, but was still working. Today it locked up so I took out the battery and let it rest for a while but it refuses to boot up into XP. All goes well until it starts to load XP, it displays the Windows with the little loading bar showing for 1-1/2 passes then flashes to a blue screen then tries to reboot. The blue screen flashes past too fast to read and it won't let me pause it. It does exactly the same thing if I try to boot into safe mode or "last working config". I can boot the OG XP CD rom but I don't really want to re-install XP from scratch if I don't have to. Ideas? JohnF |
