It seems like gaming is forever evolving. Just a few years ago, the first PlayStations were coming out. Today, however, Sony is taking gaming to the next level with their announcement of Home and LittleBigPlanet.
What are they?
Well, according to Sony's Press Release, Home is "a real-time, networked 3D avatar-based community that serves as a meeting place for PS3 users from around the world." LittleBigPlanet on the other hand is "a community-based game where users play, create and share what they build with other worldwide PS3 users."
What will you be able to do with Home and LittleBigPlanet?
In Home, users can meet other PS3 users from around the world. It's actually quite cool, it reminds me of the Sims. For example, just like in the Sims, each users can customize their own person to look like them. Once this has been done, users can meet and speak with other users using text bubbles and motions. Users can also use audio and video to communicate.
LittleBigPlanet is a "community-based world" in which users can explore, solve puzzles, and collect items. The cool thing is that each user can customize things their own way!
From what I've seen so far, both look like they are going to be really cool! I was even able to see a video about Home, on engadget. You should take a look at it if you can, it's really cool.
