It seem that USA Today has updated their look from a traditional newspaper style to a social network. Among the changes are the addition of a carousel feature which highlights the biggest stories, the option to read reporters cover stories, and the option to read either the "Top Stories" and/or "Popular Stories". The question, however, is whether or not this change is a good idea? From the different response I've seen, there seems to be a mixed responce. When you take a look at the comments people had posted on USA Today's site, you find not only people who enjoy the changes, but also people who completely hate the changes. Take a look for yourself: People who dislike the changes:
GRSKzoo said "I dislike the new design in every respect"
JDMVP said "To say I am disappointed would be to minimize my view."
raclrv13 said "this new hard to follow ,cut up version"
People who like the changes:
pittfall said "Thank you for finally stepping up to what is available online."
patrickb said, "This is a huge improvement over the past incarnation of your Web site."
So, are the changes good or bad? From what I've seen, it seems that most people dislike the changes. What do you think? Share this post: email it! | bookmark it! | digg it! | reddit! | kick it! | live it!
